Omar Abid: After only two years and several comedy competition awards (winner of Beat the Frog, Beat the Gong & second place in Mr Shindig’s New Act of the Year 2017), Omar Abid has quickly established himself as one of the most promising new acts on the comedy circuit. Now performing regularly on the prestigious weekend shows at The Stand in Newcastle, Omar has also been part of weekend shows at The Comedy Store, Manford’s Comedy Clubs, Catch 22 & Big Mouth Comedy around the country.

Clever and often a little controversial", with "great writing, brilliantly delivered ... Omar is a rising star!’ – The Stand

Sam Mayes: Cheeky and affable, working-class lass with a flair for getting herself in stupid situations. An emerging talent from the North East, and a regular at The Stand Newcastle, steadily gaining momentum on the comedy circuit, she has got real potential.

Si Beckwith (host): Combining an amiable nature with a piercing wit, Geordie comic Si Beckwith cuts an assured and engaging presence on stage. With endearing, relatable material, mixed with sillier ideas and a cheeky and charming way with words, the funny man has become a much sought after compère too. The ability to go from warm and witty, to acerbic and sharp makes Beckwith one who will hold a crowd’s attention and deliver big laughs.

‘Razor sharp wit’ – The Crack

‘Absurdly charming and funny’ – NARC Magazine
